Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring above a popular southern California beach suddenly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a line of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the chopper commencing to spiral near the shoreline then descending near the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five people were taken to hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on the weekend.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Information on their wounds were not yet released.
What led to the incident was still under investigation.

Authorities indicated the aircraft was linked to an yearly “Cars N Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the next day.
